Athame are sacred blades kept by modern and traditional occultists for energetic cord cutting and banishing rituals.

Athame represents one of the four elemental tools. The others being the wand, the pentacle, and the chalice or cup.

This sacred tool is not to be used for actual cutting, nor should it be used for causing harm or drawing blood.
